Kirsten

Registered Veterinary Technologist

Kirsten began her journey in veterinary medicine in 2015 after completing the Veterinary Medical Assistant program at NAIT. Upon graduation, Kirsten gained valuable experience in reception and managing the front end of a busy emergency and specialty hospital.
She decided she wanted to further her education and returned to NAIT to become a Registered Veterinary Technologist.  After graduating as an RVT, Kirsten joined our team at Currents Veterinary Centre in November of 2018.  She enjoys meeting the variety of pets that walk (or slither) through our doors and learning about the specific needs of each species to keep them happy and healthy!

Kirsten also works alongside a Board-certified Veterinary Cardiologist with an ambulatory practice. She enjoys getting to visit other clinics in Edmonton area and advancing her knowledge of cardiac disease and treatment.

In her spare time, you can find Kirsten spending time with her family and friends enjoying the outdoors with activities such as camping, hiking, and snowboarding or ice fishing in the winter.
